MEET THE WOMEN IN WINE

Narelle's diverse upbringing across Sydney, Brisbane and Perth instilled in her a passion for exploration and a thirst for adventure. After university, a chance encounter with a young winemaker in South America ignited her fascination for wine.

For almost 15 years, Belinda honed her skills crafting award-winning white wines at a prestigious South Australian winery. With Riesling as her personal favourite, her passion for winemaking led her to step forward to lead 'Dead Man Walking'.

Born into a pioneering family, Vanya found her passion in winemaking on the family farm. As Chief Winemaker and Managing Director at Cullen Wines, she has pioneered organic and biodynamic practices, earning global acclaim.

Melanie joined Giant Steps as Head of Winemaking and Viticulture in 2021. Her previous experience includes working at Sutton Grange Winery in Central Victoria, where her influence on winemaking and viticulture led to multi-trophy winning wine.

Alexia Roberts, a leader in the wine industry for over 20 years, graduated from Adelaide University with a Bachelor of Oenology in 2004. She's renowned for her work in McLaren Vale, serving as Chief Winemaker for The Black Chook.

Liz's journey in winemaking began as a Lab Technician at Brokenwood Wines after earning her Bachelor of Science degree. Rising through the ranks, she became Chief Winemaker at First Creek Wines in 2008.
